The patient's/subject's IgE levels to Anachardiaceae family allergens weren't what I would have characterized as "screamin'" levels, though I know levels in no way correspond with severity of reaction.  Still, this is suspected cross-reactivity.  Wonder why they would not test the pink peppercorn itself first to rule out potential incidental contamination through its logistic chain from crop to final destination or bulking of a high-margin good.  Occam's razor, law of parsimony, and so forth.
