WestJet

(1/1)

JenniferDuggan:
Well, WestJet just lost some major points on the allergy accommodation scale this week:

They'll be getting a strongly worded email from me shortly, asking for clarification on how this will impact guests with tree nut allergies, whether or not they will still make announcements, and whether or not they will still serve almonds on flights when guests with nut allergies are onboard.   :'(

I have never flown on WestJet, but it was one of the airlines we were considering when purchasing our tickets to Europe this summer.

Allergic Living has done a nice article on this subject:

The WestJet representative I spoke with also recommended that people with nut allergies not fly in Plus seats if contact with nuts will be problematic.  (Or, you could use a seat cover/blanket if you wish.)
