Need help finding Cashews brands for a Challenge

(1/2) > >>

AB:
I’m in Canada.

My son had allergies to peanuts and almonds.

He is doing a food challenge for cashews.

Does anyone know of a nut company that sells peanut free cashews?

Thanks

You can look in this thread and see if there is anything that will work for you...

Hi AB!

Does your name mean you are located in Alberta? I am in Ontario, and here we can find Royal Nuts fairly easily in grocery stores like Loblaws or Longos.

Their facility is peanut free. They do process almonds and other tree nuts. They also process seeds and dried fruits.

I used their Cashews for a challenge last fall. I am also allergic to Pistachios and these would be considered ‘May contain’ for those, but it was the best I could get in the time I had available. The only single process Cashews I found had to be shipped from the US and were very expensive and much greater quantities than I needed. *My allergist approved using them for my challenge based on my reaction history etc. (and also, while I don’t know the age of your son, I am an adult and fully able to give consent and all that jazz).

I will try to find that thread where the specific brands were discussed for you and link it.

Thanks for the information on Royal Nuts

I picked up the unsalted cashews ones.

He pastd the challenge. He said they tasted disgusting but did not have a reaction to them.

Thank you so much!!!!

Still have other tree nut and peanut allergies but it’s goid to know that he actually outgrew this one.
