McDonald’s USA is serving a Turtle Brownie Sundae with Pecans as a topping in restaurants in the following locations:  Atascadero, CA; Buellton, CA; Lompoc, CA; Pasadena, CA; Paso Robles, CA; Santa Maria, CA; Simi Valley, CA; Harrington, DE; Washington DC; Florida; Chicago, IL; Downers Grove, IL; Baltimore, MD; Cambridge, MD; Colmar, MD; Oxon Hill, MD; Riverdale, MD; Silver Spring, MD; Takoma Park, MD; Manhattan, NY; Alexandria, VA; Williamsburg, VA; Seattle, WA; and Keyser, WV.  Additional restaurants in these locations and restaurants in other locations may also start offering the Turtle Brownie Sundae in the coming months, so please check with your restaurant to confirm whether they offer this menu item.

McDonald’s is providing restaurant training regarding the storage and handling of the Pecans in our kitchens, but McDonald’s wants to make customers with tree nut allergies aware of this menu item so they can make whatever decisions they deem appropriate when visiting McDonald’s restaurants.

For more information, please contact the McDonald’s Customer Service Center at (800) 244-6227.

   McDonalds is doing the same thing in Canada - just introduced nut products to the formerly nut-free McFlurry, and announced there are more nuts to come in the future so McDonalds is off of our safe list now. They don't care about alienating their allergic customers so we have left the building and eat elsewhere.
