A former school principal recalled Janna Elizabeth Smith-Johnson approaching her at the end of her son's second-grade year and announcing the boy “was allergic to everything.”

Quote
He said a doctor affiliated with the practice had basically said “she's done with Janna (Smith-Johnson), she thinks Janna (Smith-Johnson) is abusing these kids, and so here we are.”

Quote
He said it was “frustrating” that the same doctors who carried out unnecessary medical procedures “have essentially said that, you know, Janna (Smith-Johnson) is the reason that they're doing it.”

Maybe this was a case of abuse ...

but the topic makes me uneasy as it seems so easy to blame/accuse moms.

Jordan said Smith-Johnson's son has a medical condition that inflames the esophagus, possibly due to food allergens, and causes nutritional and other medical issues.

"We would prove in court that the mother was given the opportunity to help this child and given the proper ways to treat this child, but she did not,” Jordan said.

Jordan said the boy was on a highly restricted diet typical for people with the medical condition. After he was placed into protective custody, Jordan said the boy soon began eating by mouth and recently ate from a pizza buffet and had a milkshake.

I think this is the same child that went from 39 meds to 5, no longer requires a wheelchair or training pants.
