Title: Daiya Cheddar Slices
Post by: mary allard on May 11, 2018, 10:27:23 PM
Hi!  I'm so disappointed. Since I have a dairy allergy, I thought I'd buy some Daiya Cheddar Slices. I sliced one up like shreds to put on a taco. Within 20 minutes I began feeling neck swelling, itching everywhere, hives, stuffy nose, itchy throat and ears. It didn't make sense to me because I've eaten the same meal except for the "cheese" which I know is dairy free. In Google searching the ingredients, I discovered "vegetable juice" is used for color. Looking further, the vegetable juice consists of tomato concentrate, as well as a couple other vegetable concentrates. I'm also allergic to tomato, so there go the Cheddar Slices 😕.

Wow, that is disappointing.   :disappointed: I hope you can find an alternative that is safe for you.  :console:

Thank you. I checked out the actual Daiya shreds, and those don't have the same ingredient. So I'll give that a try. 🌮🙂
