Anyone try this? Freeze stuff so itís almost like instant?

Made the honey mustard chicken a couple nights ago. Eh. I wouldn't make it again. So far from this list, the red beans are a winner and I liked the orange chicken, but dh would like it better with thighs.

I have the lemon garlic chicken still left in the freezer.

I have not tried these unstuffed cabbage rolls. But I plan to.

This was dinner tonight.

I used 2 pounds meat instead of one, but otherwise basically followed the recipe. It was good, but not quite as flavourful as I would have liked. We decided it needs more tomato.

But, the cabbage and rice came out the perfect texture. (I used basmati rice...thatís what I had.)

This is in my pot right now. Used 2 pounds meat again. Added a can of spaghetti sauce as well as the canned tomatoes. Hoping I didnít screw it up. The directions say to add ingredients, stir, then add canned tomatoes on top and do not stir. I added everything and stirred.

Itís still preheating...hope it pressurizes.  :crossed:

I plan to make this one evening this week.

Iíll use a different oil and oil and skip the sesame seeds.

I tried this tonight. I do not have a poultry setting so I just used high pressure. I browned the chicken on top of stove.

I read comments and someone mentioned adding pineapple at the end. I thought that sounded good so tried it. I donít think it affected the chicken or the sauce...but I got to eat some pineapple.

The chicken was good. I did not like the sauce on my rice though. Had lots of rice so I threw it out and took some fresh.

Iím not sure, Bensmom, but I think it might vary the pressure during cooking.  I might have read a similar blog article about each setting, but donít remember where it was, either.  I tend to use manual most often.

That looks good. I don't think I have poultry mode. I only ever use manual. It would help if they explained what these different modes do. I thought it was just a preset cook time, like eggs would be 5 minutes, but some of them do different things I think, like beans soak for a bit and then cook or something. But the manual doesn't tell you what's going on. I found a website somewhere that explained it, but not sure I book marked it. Anyway, does anyone know what the poultry setting might do that's different from manual 20 minutes?

The kitchen not thing Iíve ever used canned mushrooms for was chicken a la king.  My mother used a specific brand B in B, broiled in butter, was what it stood for, and they were tasty.

Stew was delicious, but I skipped the mushroom.

I find canned mushrooms tasteless unless the soak in whatever Iím making. Like stew or spaghetti sauce. I do like the convenience though.

I would just stir in canned mushrooms at the end...

how did it turn out?

I donít think that would matter, SL.  Canned, fresh, or whole vs sliced.

Making a stew tonight. Anyone know if canned mushrooms can be added? Would it matter whether they were whole or sliced?

Hey all, I have not read this thread, I do not have an instant pot.  I am jealous of those that do.  They don't make one big enough to feed my teen boys.

However, someone at work today told me there is a guy who has found a way to use his to turn Welches grape juice into good tasting wine!!!!
