Part of the response,

As stated, there are already very stringent guidelines to protect against cross contamination.  When I checked with the manufacturer allergen listing, there are NO peanuts or tree nuts in the facility.  They do not list sesame however because it is not recognized as one of the 8 FDA recognized allergens.

Not sure when they checked with manufacturer...today...last week....last year...

But sesame is not an FDA recognized allergen, so this is off my list.

Hi!
I'm in the process of requesting a 504 for my PTN allergic son. I found you thread extremely informative. Just wondering... did you get the 504?

Their website says no peanuts/nuts added or in an added ingredient in their bbq sauce.

Anyone know if they label cross contamination?

Anyone eat their products?

Kingís Hawaiian is also available at Safeway.

Restaurants:

Maui Brick Oven is a GF pizza place...very small.  Has a great allergen chart on line.  Only nuts where in the pesto sauce and a dessert.  Loved the pizza with the sweet Thai sauce.

Paia Fishmarket, 3 locations, for fish tacos.  No nuts in the kitchen, but they do have sesame.

That's just barely positive and since you had negative skin testing, I'd see if you can do an in office food challenge for shrimp at your allergist's office to find out in a safe setting whether you really are allergic.  Fingers crossed for you that it's a false positive - it would be great to not have to worry about a food allergy!

Iím not sure, Bensmom, but I think it might vary the pressure during cooking.  I might have read a similar blog article about each setting, but donít remember where it was, either.  I tend to use manual most often.
