The last time I ate at Panera it had clear peanut and tree nut warnings...about a month before Em was diagnosed.  Has that changed?

I could see how a language issue could be at play, and I'm sure it wasn't deliberate.  It does, however, speak to poor/inadequate training of staff.

Wow. That is awful. I can imagine how easily it could have involved a language issue, because otherwise why would the PB be there? It's not normally on the sandwich. I could see how someone would see that and think, "Oh, they want us to add peanut butter."

Or even without a language issue that the person interpreting the order didn't look carefully. Either way--bad, bad news for someone with a peanut allergy. :-/
