If you wipe it out before posting, simply use your browser's back feature and the post should be there.  Once it's posted, it cannot be deleted except by a mod.  Those deleted posts are sent to a holding area which is purged by Admins.  Posts may be edited, however, and once those changes are saved the original text would not be recoverable.

Beyond that, I would need to contact our server host for recovery.

I'm wondering what backup & recovery is like here at our (kinda) new home.

For instance, if I'm editing a post and wipe it out by accident, is there an easy way to get it back ... or if we don't want to lose something, should we be backing it up ourselves?
