So I watched part of the video here and saw the IP in action for the first time. It beeps. Yikes. I buy appliances based on whether I can turn the beep off.  Can you turn it off in your IP?

Also---great examples of a Fort Worth accent. I do not have it, but I have many friends who do!

You can turn off the beep on some models - you can on mine (Duo60 7-in-1).
TX - USA
DS - peanut, tree nut, milk, eggs, corn, soy, several meds, many environmentals. Finally back on Xolair!
DD - mystery anaphylaxis, shellfish.
DH - banana/avocado, aspirin.  Asthma.
Me - peanut, tree nut, shellfish, banana/avocado/latex,  some meds.

I do not either.  I read that but I did put it in my cart anyway to see and it was still free.

Confession: My Instant Pot has only been used to make rice.  That's it.  :hiding:  I have no inspiration to try anything else, but I really want to try beans.  Alas, all the dried beans and lentils I can find here (even the local farmers) have warning for wheat, which I'm avoiding right now due to multiple mystery reactions.

The IP beeps and the instruction book doesn't include any instructions on how to turn off the beep.
ANA peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, potato, sorghum

DH is going to make this tonight while I'm at swim practice.  Hope it turns out good.

I saved this one.  Please give us your review later!  :)

It was delicious.  DS proclaimed it the best chicken for tacos ever.  I bought enough to double the recipe so he doubled most of the stuff but not the garlic and not the salt/pepper.  We used this site as a guide to doubling recipes...

DH made this two nights ago and then we had it for dinner last night.  He tried doubling the recipe and it was on the verge of too full so he recommends only doing 1.5 times the recipe.  He threw in some diced sw potatoes, carrots and something else.  He also chopped up a jalapeno and threw that in too.
