So my niece has never been a fan of dairy even when little, as a teen realized she was lactose intolerant and now is avoiding trace amounts (yes, she needs to see an allergist, but I'm not her mom).  She has just realized at thanksgiving she will need to skip the sticky buns (a family tradition for christmas dinner)...so I want to make a really great dessert that she can have.  I found these two which look good...

Yes, and it worked out fine.  Be sure to use the hard margarine, like Earth Balance sticks, for best results.

I also like almost everything from this website: www.chocolatecoveredkatie.com
Everything is already dairy-free, and almost everything can be made nut-free, too.

I have a hundreds of recipes if you need anything specific.

We like to make 'Magic Pie' as a treat: Oreo crumb crust with a mousse-type filling of silken tofu and melted chocolate as the filling.  It's about as simple as it gets, fancy enough for holidays, and a hit everywhere we go, assuming everyone likes chocolate.

Yes!  I make it quite a bit for DD.  I use Earth Balance or Fleishmans unsalted.  Its yummy.
