Expeller/cold pressed oils
« on: July 22, 2022, 12:14:00 PM »
Looking for some insight! My daughter is allergic to sesame and peanuts. She has been having skin reactions randomly. After collecting nutrition labels the only overlapping thing is the expeller pressed sunflower oil. She got skin tested for sunflowers at her last appointment and it was negative. Has anyone found these oils can have traces of peanut or sesame?

Many oils are made on shared equipment, particularly some of the healthier cold expressed oils.  I found this to be the case with peanut X-contamination many years ago.
