Shuckman’s Fish Co. of Louisville, KY is recalling it’s 8 ounce packages of Mooney’s Kentucky Bourbon Cheese and Valumarket Beer Cheese Spread because they may contain undeclared soy. People who have allergies to soy run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.



The products in question are:

Products are sold to retail stores in Kentucky..

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the soy containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of soy. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes.

Consumers who have purchased the products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-502-775-6478 Monday through Friday 8:00a.m to 3:00p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
