Immersion Blender

(1/2) > >>

Ra3chel:
I need to make more soup, and for that to not be a royal pain, I need an immersion blender.

Any recommendations?

hedgehog:
I have a GE hand blender and although I don't use it often, I love it when I do use it.

CookingMom:
I have a Cuisinart...love it when I need to use it...sure beats using a blender when the soup is hot!  (Not friendly to non-stick pans, though...)

hk:
I recently got a Cuisinart Smart Stick.  I like it quite a bit.  It's not perfect, but it gets soups to a pretty smooth texture.  It's much better than the Braun I had before.  Sur La Table has them on sale periodically so you might check there.

CMdeux:
I have a 20+ year old Braun.(TWO recieved as wedding gifts ~1988)

It's still going strong after all that time-- unlike the marraige, I might add.

I  my little Braun; I've used it for everything from pureeing soups on the stovetop to whipping heavy cream for frosting and trifles.
