hahaha... really?

I saw them yesterday in Target and only one of my two will use them (A will not drink flavored milk - white, skim milk only). I just thought they looked neat and were a nut-free, gluten-free product

crap, I didn't notice that. :\ (it doesn't affect us, but might for many here).

Might be worth a call or email to them though.

This is too weird considering we've got our first order of unflavored Neocate underway it's time to nail the jello to the wall. I emailed them on clarification but I found a couple of contradicting points in the meantime.

Magic Milk Straws are also safe for people with corn, soy, or nut allergies. So, drop a Magic Milk Straw into a glass of milk and turn a mundane drink into a special treat.

Below is the ingredient list for each flavor.

Chocolate Peanut Butter: Sugar, glucose syrup, dextrose, water, cocoa powder, hazelnut & chocolate flavoring.

Q: Is the chocolate and peanut butter ok for people who have peanut allergy?
A: The Chocolate & Peanut Butter Magic Milk Straws are not made from peanuts, but if your allergy is severe we would recommend avoiding that flavor.

Id never give a peanut allergic individual anything with nuts that are cross contaminated.

My daughter (no allergies) tried the chocolate flavor.  she wasnt impressed and i ended up tossing the rest. blah.
just tell me: "Hey, a***ole, you hurt my feelings!"

Okay, got an answer on the PB chocolate. The PB flavor is actually artificial hazelnut flavor. What could possibly be lurking within the facility or production of these I don't know. If anyone calls on shared lines please post I'm interested in the product. I'll call Nutricia about the straws that they offered a while back because I suspect they're one and the same.

We've tried strawberry, chocolate chip and vanilla milkshake so far so good. The sugar is pretty reasonable compared with adding syrup. I wouldn't pay over the $1.98 for a 6 pack I get at Walmart but they seem safe enough. Unfortunately, not enough flavor to encourage unflavored Neocate drinking here.

My kids have tried all the flavors over the course of this summer.  Cookies and Creme is the favorite.
