No baked egg challenge for us yet

Our hospital requires a certain blood test level for the heat stable protein (not sure what it is, but D is fine) and a skin test for egg smaller than 35 mm.  We went yesterday and D's was 44 mm.  Ugh.  Our allergist was shocked and absolutely speechless.  We go back in six months, hoping that being out of allergy season will help.

I think we really lucked out that way when our allergist skin tested DD, because honestly, she had ample recent reaction history, too.

Fortunately, neither thing seems to correlate with who can tolerate baked protein, for whatever reason.

So it looks like for now, you get to play a waiting game and try to time your skin test to be outside of allergy season, huh?   :grouphug:
Resistance isn't futile.  It's voltage divided by current.

We had no skin test prior to the baked egg challenge.  Our challenge was done at Johns Hopkins.

We go to Children's in Boston.  Right now, we just wait and go back in March with, hopefully, better results.
