Two more trial participants needed for FAHF-2 in Chicago!

Come on, guys...surely there's someone in this group, or someone who knows someone, who wants to be part of the fabulous FAHF-2 trial: http://www.childrensmrc.org/clinical_trials/allergy/. The study needs two more participants before it can close.

Why do I care? None of us get results reported out until it closes and everyone completes. Obviously I'll know what happens with my own kid, but I won't know if we got placebo and, if he did, we won't get the real drug until everyone's done.

If you know of anyone in the area, please promote it! Allergens are peanut, tree nuts, sesame, fish or shellfish and child has to be between 12 and 24 without history of a reaction that required intubation.

This was shared elsewhere regarding this type of study.

Have not read, just re-sharing:

For more about FAHF-2, read what the woman, Xiu-Min Li, who invented it said on our website.

It was clickable from Facebook, but goofed up when I got here.  I'll try to mess with it.

Will it work for you to copy/paste into browser instead?

I look 24, does that count?  :hiding:  :-[  This is the one potential "cure" I most want to work, I'd so be there if they'd allow someone pushing 30.

Guys, for the next trial, they need children 6 and up! I wasn't 100% clear if it was the peanut patch trial...the clinician just mentioned that it will involve component testing and they're going to start recruiting soon. I'm sure you could just use the general email and ask if you're interested in seeing what it's about.

I think they need more participants in NYC too.  My son, being nine, was not eligible.  I'd do it if he were.

FYI, Children's is moving to the spanking new Lurie Center this weekend so it make take them a while to get back to you guys. I'm so excited you're trying though! (If you don't hear back, let me know and I'll ask our coordinator.)

WHere is the Lurie Center?  Is it in the western suburbs, by chance?

Smack in the middle of downtown, Ginger:

It's a lot less convenient for us, but I'm looking forward to seeing what $100 million buys these days.

i'm thinking about it, but I'm not sure my DD or DS want to participate.  Haven't asked.  I don't know how much we would need to go there --- can you give me an idea of how many visits it requires?  The one visit for the other research project at Children's Hospital was perfect for us.
