Because you don't need a 504, an IHP is more than sufficient!

504's for allergies are a schools dirty little secret.  And frankly, FAS are the southern relatives who put 504's on the front porch like their crazy aunts because it is what we do.  School admins seem to think 504's are those hush hush girls in the 50's and 60's who spent a semester away from school  - you just don't talk about it and it makes the problem go away.
DS1 - Wheat, rye, barley and egg
DS2 - peanuts
DD -  tree nuts, soy and sunflower
Me - bananas, eggplant, many drugs

I'm wearing a "Got 504" t-shirt if we do the FARE walk this fall.

Maybe on the back it should say,

"What's a 504?  ASK ME!"

FARE newsletter addresses 504 in back to school section. One specific area mentioned moves away from safe treat boxes to food free celebrations for inclusion.

Now that I'm on a machine with an actual keyboard I can edit to add the newsletter reference. Page 8. Check it out.

Good on 'em.  It's a lovely thing to be promoting genuine inclusion-- not encouraging the child to enable the exclusion of his/her peers.

Resistance isn't futile.  It's voltage divided by current.
