Are they safe now? I knew the mini ones were, but I happened to pick up a bag of milk chocolate chips and there was not a peanut warning! Semi sweet only had a milk warning. Did they change manufacturing practice or labeling policies?

I would recommend emailing or calling them.  Hope you get a new safe source of choco chips.

Call to find out, but I seem to remember that they quit using peanut altogether. However, they have tree nuts and they will supposedly label for shared facility with those.

I recently was looking on the website and there is a page there that lists each item they make and if it is on shared equipmnt, or in a facility that also has....  And it seemed to me nuts were in all facilities, bot not all items were on *shared* equipment.  I did let dd eat the fudge I had made at a cooking class.  But, in the future, I would choose chocolate with less confusion.  Hershey, most likely.  Or Guittard.
