Oh this is so cool. If they've really taken it off, we have to tell them THANK YOU. Publicly.

OMG, this would be amazing. And I agree, a public thank you is due them.

Oh no doubt they did the math. On their facebook page a week or two ago there were quite a few more that didn't like the Asian salad than the ones that did. Actually most seem to be asking for some kind of baja chicken salad (??) to come back.

I'm sure their math included a risk assessment...all it takes is ONE reaction from one person/child to be publicized (and hopefully not fatal, but that COULD happen) --- with employees and broken packets and peanut sauce getting over everything.

I bet "someone" never thought about that and they are now getting notes like becca's (I sent one too) about leaky packets...they DO exist and they know the packets/sauces leak/break.

I'm happy to see they are responding. People will forget about it once they stop advertising it. Or - they will reformulate quickly, maybe with roasted soynut chunks in it instead of peanuts.  Once roasted, soynuts are SO similar. I've fooled friends with taste-tests! Particularly if you cover with a flavor (even making them super salty).

Soy...is in everything they have anyway...so I'm guessing (???) this won't make Wendy's more of a risk for soy allergic (who might not go there anyway??)

Wendy's is unafraid to pull a popular menu item for public safety. The first one I know of is the chicken spinach salad way back.

I wrote a letter too. Our Wendy's is far away in a town where there's not much else to eat so I'll call.

I swear if Wendy's takes that off of their menu because of feedback from the FA community, I will make it a point to eat there even more than we had been. Even though it's a good 40 minute drive away.

Same here.

Considering the fact they actually cared. Even though ours no longer carries it,  McDonald's pretty much lost me with the Reese Mcflurry and the way they handled complaints.  So kudos to Wendy's.

People are not happy on the Wendy's FB page. I wish they would understand that it's not as simple as just not ordering the offending item.

We're gonna hafta own this one. IMO whoever misses it is entitled to feel that. I was really disappointed when Wendy's pulled the spinach salad because of contamination concerns. It was by far my favorite fast food item ever.

Jessica

I don't think Wendy's has officially said it's due to allergy issues. I think restaurant managers are telling people that though.

So it's just the DRESSING that has been pulled, yes?

Reason that I ask is that I noted earlier this afternoon a sign that indicated the cashew-salad still on offer in a neighboring town (Costco-town, for TT's reference).

Or are they offering the combo until supplies run out?

According to replies on their facebook page it's only the dressing. They're telling people they'll have a new dressing for the salad soon.

They have pulled the dressing but nothing else.

This works for my fam. It's like the almonds. It won't work so well for TNA fams
