I can only speak for myself, but I will still eat their products.

I will also continue to support them too and purchase their products.  The fact the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) did not issue a recall is reassuring, as they always issue a recall / alert if there is any risk.

Then Dare has remained a peanut free facility until proof otherwise emerges as far as I'm concerned. They took it seriously, they even tested the outside of the bags. CFIA has had oversight.

Neither link to the picture is working.

No recall on the CFIA web site.

No peanut protein found per the page.

I am inclined to believe them.  They know where their future sales lay, kwim?

Per Dare's FB page, they did testing of the questionable product, several bags from the same lot, and on bags from the same store and found no detectable peanut proteins on the outside or inside of the bag or on the candies themselves.  I'm quite impressed with their quick response on this.

Does anyone else find the following weird?

It's a peanut shell meaning unshelled peanuts rather than shelled peanuts are in ANY facility that processes peanut products? Would the overwhelming statistical likelihood not be a shelled peanut fragment?

Who would hold the shell? I'd take a picture on a piece of paper in my garage but not in my hand in the kitchen.

Just my thoughts.

My initial thought is:  Is that a regularly posting member of that FB group or is it a newly recent join and possible troll?

Yikes. Very, very scary.

Okay--I'm going to ask the less obvious question:  why in the heck was a church having an Easter party this weekend?  Easter is April 20th. I could understand having it Holy Saturday, but three weeks ahead?  No way. That is crazy.
