Those conferences seem like a nice idea. I'm not personally interested in attending, but I enjoy reading about what was discussed after the fact.
If I remember correctly, you are a good public speaker (radio and such) & you do a lot of education/advocacy work .... maybe you should be a speaker there :) ?
I would be happy to be a speaker, but have no idea on allergy angle iyswim.
any ideas?
I don't know ... something you feel comfortable with and/or passionate about? An area that you feel still has a lot of education/awareness gaps? You probably have some different perspectives not being from the USA. Maybe a few of your docs and/or advocate contacts would be interested in joining you.
If you do attend, let us know how everything went :) .
have made an application!
fingers crossed!
Have you decided on a topic yet?
let us know.....quick flight or 4 hr drive, might be a girls get a way...
subject of presentation is mainly about controlling environmental allergies and impact on food allergies, and health, growth and development for young children.
sounds a bit dry really. but if this first application doesnt fit, will give another a shot.
Maybe dry to you but you have the accent to make them listen :)

yep, let us know!
I don't think it's dry at all. It's parallel with current research and where it's going. I should think them fortunate to have a speaker cover this topic.
lets hope its the sort of stuff they are interested in.
even if I dont get this, I am hoping to go, so would LOVE to meet up with anyone from here who can get there! :happydance:
Have you been to Las Vegas before?
Bit of a hike for us, but since we missed you last March and all...
yes, yrs ago with the kids and hubby.
I have to say my best memory of our short visit was sitting near a pool, with a very large cocktail in hand, (it had fruit in it so must of been one of my five fruit and veg a day ) watching my children (who are good swimmers) and ' may' have noticed a few rather fit young men splash around in the pool.
