Title: Reaction at Work
Post by: GoingNuts on April 16, 2024, 06:02:14 PM
Well, today was interesting.

We have an allergist who rents space in our office and is there 2 days/week.  It was lucky she was there today, because my coworker, who is allergic to pineapple, dug into a piece of carrot cake someone brought in dor her birthday today and had a reaction.  She avoided going to the hospital because she was being monitored by an allergist, a PCP, and a nephrologist.  She did not have an Epipen, so the allergist gave her Epi and followed up later with steroids, just in case.

Yikes! I am glad she is okay and now has EpiPens. Scary.

Oh, she has Epipens, just doesn't carry them.  :disappointed:
