I went to TJ's today just to get them, and "our" TJ's (I use the term loosely because it is so far out of my way, but it's the closest one to us) didn't have them.  :banghead:  No fair!

Mine has been out since last week :(  They are apparently very popular!  FWIW I found mine in the freezer aisle with all the candy stuff.  Did you ask them if they had them?!

I'd love to know the actual name brand or other brands they go by to find other products from this Belgium chocolatier.

For those with egg allergy-- while DD is being dosed with cooked egg (200 mg daily now), she is very definitely still allergic enough that we still have to be cautious about pasta brands or anything else on shared lines--

DD has scarfed down at least five of these from the box we opened last night with absolutely no ill effects.     I do know how it is, though, to have to worry about egg in the facility, though we (mostly) don't at this point.

IMMV, of course-- but it might be worth a call to find out what form the egg is in.  Liquid egg is MUCH safer than merengue powder in terms of XC risk in a facility.

I was excited about these but saw a "same facility as egg" warning on them so they are out for us.

Snagged two boxes on the way home, one for each of my boys.  So glad you posted about this!

Got two boxes and one is already gone.  Dd is delighted!  And the rest of us like them too.  But they really are a treat for her, boxed and so cute!

Looks like I'll be detouring on my way home from work this week - there's a Valentine's surprise in store for DS.

Thank you so much for sharing this!

ZOMG!!!!  ZOMG!!!!

Seriously psyched for this one.

This is like, a REAL "box of chocolates."

For real.  Like, labeled for Valentine's Day and everything.

I'm in shock, actually. This is seriously the first time that I've seen chocolate packaged for V-Day that was safe for PA/TNA (and egg, though I seem to recall an "in a facility" warning of some sort... could be wrong about that).

Real chocolates for Valentines day.  In a pretty box.  Like real people get, you know??

<sniff-sniff>  I'm seriously tearing up over how cool this is.

UPDATED POST (Mon Jan 30)

So this morning I called the Trader Joe's customer service in Monrovia, CA.

and

SQUEEEE!!! The TJ's "Dark Chocolate Hearts with Rich Truffle Filling" (Product of Belgium) SKU #93763

has been verified that it is manufactured in a peanut/treenut free facility!!!

They are pretty good too, and not so expensive, come in a cute box. Square white box with red writing on the front.
