Title: Non-peanut contaminated nuts UK
Post by: Zsa on February 02, 2018, 06:27:18 AM
Hi, I live in the UK, I am new to this group and looking for swift advice.  I have a 4 year old  with a  severe peanut allergy, she has had blood tests for other nuts and the results average on the mild mark.  We are trying to ascertain if nuts can  be introduced into her diet and she is having a tasting challenge at the hospital next Tuesday.  I have to make a mixed nut   cookie to take in with us.
Where can I buy non-peanut contaminated nuts in the UK at  such  short notice, i.e., no time to order online now!
I am flummaxed.

IDK - but I wanted to say hello and welcome!  Hoping one of our members sees this and can answer.

I'm not sure either, but perhaps you could find nuts in the shell, wash them before shelling and use those?

Here's a discussion, but it's mostly US - you might see if any of the brands mentioned are available in the UK, though.
