We use Schwebels Old World Flat Bread. It's similar to pita but moister. For sauce we use a couple different kinds - Contadina Quick Squeeze or Ragu. We haven't had problem with either.
Thanks for posting this, I meant to reply sooner. This is a great idea for the milk allergic. My dd is a teen with milk as one of her allergies and this could definitely work so she could have her own take along milk free "pizza". She is MA, PA, TN, and sesame.
Few questions,
What type of flat bread do you use? I think flat bread would be similar to pita bread for ingredients?
What brand of pizza sauce do you use or do you make your own?
I am going to look for those containers at Target.
My DS wishes he could have a pizza lunchable, but he can't b/c of his milk allergy. I found the perfect containers at Target and wanted to share! The brand is Sistema and I bought a 2 compartment container and 1.18 oz sauce squirt bottle. I fill the bottle with pizza sauce and cut a large flat bread with a circle cookie cutter into 4 pieces that are the size of the lunchable ones. Then throw in some pepperoni. It works perfectly and my DS is so happy!
