Title: Ecuador with FA's
Post by: GoingNuts on November 20, 2014, 06:38:38 AM
So, DS (age 20) is going on a service trip to Ecuador over the winter break.  They will be pulling out invasive plant species and planting trees (ask me if I could ever get him to help with yard work at home!) in a coastal area of the country for 11 days.

Needless to say, I'm a bit of a wreck about this.

Has anyone been to Ecuador?  Any advice?  His allergies are PN, TN, Sesame, Chick Pea, and certain forms of soy (which is probably more birch-related).  I do hear from some of my Ecuadorian coworkers that chick peas are common in certain parts of Ecuador.

Dunno how he's preparing. He'll be home for Thanksgiving so we will discuss in detail then.  Frankly I don't think he is taking this seriously enough. Big surprise.
