Snacksafely ran a letter writing campaign and Playalinda has dropped the beer name from their line up.

QuoteAs we reported last week, the Playalinda Brewing Co made the uniquely dimwitted decision to market a beer they named "Epi Pen Peanut Butter Ale", an overt slap at everyone with food allergies.

Mfrs. & Packaged Food / Snö frozen desserts

https://www.snodairyfree.com/en

It's a month full of new finds for me, after many of my usual staples have been discontinued over the past few years.

Today's find is top-10-free frozen desert. Only their pots of ice cream are safe as the bars and sandwiches are made in a different facility. The website clearly states which ones are top-10-free with the ingredient icons. I can only eat vanilla, caramel, and raspberry because the others have potato in the mix-ins. I hope I don't have trouble from potato traces. Fingers crossed.

Yogurts made in BC, Canada that are top-10-free, loaded with probiotics, and made in a dedicated facility. I bought one of each flavour a month ago and only just tried the lick of a spoon today to test for a reaction. Allergy anxiety is tough. But these taste good. I was never a yogurt fan as a kid but it is good to have safe options.

Anyone familiar with the ice cream company Marble Slab?

They started in USA and have expanded into Canada.

They claim some products free from peanut and tree nut (including trace amounts). Including ice cream cakes.

My husband's uncle owns the Marble Slab brand in Canada. Nothing there is truly safe for food allergies. Unless some locations have creamer machines for nut free flavours only, it would be similar to any other ice cream shoppe making nutty and non-nutty flavours on the same equipment.

I can ask my uncle-in-law for more specifics if needed but he definitely advised me not to eat there.
