Hi, I am new to this forum. I was recently diagnosed with severe seed allergies and several others allergies. I am looking for as much information on Sesame and Sunflower(oil too) allergies as possible. I am having a hard time finding safe foods and baking supplies. Any help would be appreciated. It is all a little overwhelming.

Hi Shasta I am sorry dealing with a new allergy can be very difficult. I am glad you found us. May I sugest you check out our adults with food allergies and seed allergy sub forums.
I hope you find support and the information you need here with us.

Welcome!! OOoh, sesame is such a toughie becaue of the lack of labeling laws for it in both the US and Canada. I'm allergic to sesame, too. And wow--sunflower is just everywhere these days.
I hope you find this a helpful community for dealing with your allergies!

The good news for you is that we have at least one regular around here that is an adult with both of those allergies.
I also happen to know that she makes a mean popover, and bakes other lovely things. :thumbsup:

Awwhh....Thank you:) and while I hate that for the one dealing with this, it is great news for a me :) and I can't wait to feel comfortable enough to try baking again.... Popovers?? yum.... :)
