Yes, fieldtrip this go round.

They are not allowing eating on (school) bus, so to meet the county school district rules as to "no food on bus" . . . they are eating in restaurant.  However there will be special allowance for bringing own food so fas as bonafide diet need (LTFA, etc).

We are trying to make the restaurant do-able if possible.

Awaiting return call from Newseum . . . supposed to call back within 24 hours, but not happening.  Bet they are swamped.

Is this for a field trip? If so, it's possible they may eat on the bus. That's happened in our district when DD's gone on field trips. In addition, last year she went to the Supreme Court and was able to bring her lunch.

Need RECENT detailed help here so far as eating at this museum.  No option to LEAVE to go elsewhere.

Anyone been in the restaurant there and dealt with food allergy?

Not a lot of TRULY helpful, detailed info on their website, so far as I've been able to locate.

Attention: The Food Section prepares meals with peanuts and other nut products. If you have concerns about allergies, please consult with the Food Section manager.

I cannot find anything so far as an allergen chart or other detail.

Looks like a person would HAVE To contact the "Food Section" manager . . . and the only contact info I can find is thru this tel # --
(202) 292-6900

If you are comfortable enough (not I!  would rather talk with human) with using the e-contact -- here is link:
