My DS1's band teacher let me know they were nut-free. I found that Dollar General carried them--but not Publix, Walmart, or Target. Cut out middle to make a pinata cake. Pinata cake was inspired by this (I can't seem to post a photo) only with Sixlets *not* M&Ms:

Some around Christmas are not safe...I think it was the filled plastic candy cane...not that they are in the baking section.

They have been in the baking aisle at Stop & Shop for a couple of years (they were in the one I shopped at before moving 2 years ago, and are in mine here).  If I knew that others were looking for them, I would have let you know.

:)

I knew they were nut free. Didn't know about gluten. That's great!

In the baking section of Stop and Shop they had Sixlets with the sprinkles, icing, etc.  The label calls them "Celebration Sixlets" by Frey.  Label states Nut and Gluten Free.

I'll call this week, but these would be a fun addition to brownies or cupcakes!
