I am guessing it is unlikely. Allergic Living (I think) had an article about walnut nut versus walnut wood and how they each have different proteins.

That said, walnut wood (or walnut anything) gives me the creeps just because of the name, like how I am unsure if I will ever consume buckwheat with a wheat allergy. My brain just can’t get over it.
