Eww-- saw that at a health-food store today when we ran over there to get some hummus (ended up with-- surprise!-- egg-free chocolate pudding, too-- yum!).  Paranoia level just went up by about 900%.   :-/

We have it at one of the grocery stores I go to, right next to the sun butter, but since we are not PA it just never occurred to me that it's placement would be problematic for some.  My neighbor mixes it into her yogurt...I tried it once and it was gross.

My Wegman's stopped carrying chocolate soy butter, so I ran to our local health food store to pick some up.  Sitting right next to and touching the "peanut free" selections (On the TOP WIRE shelf I might add), are jars of powdered peanut butter- "just add water"! :P Why? I'm sure there is a good reason for the existence of this, but none come to mind...

The idea of POWDER, although in a sealed jar, makes me very nervous. I spoke to the cashier about it as I checked out, and she truly seemed concerned. As soon as I left she headed that way and said she'd see about moving them away from "peanut free" items, at the very least to the bottom shelf.

I Clorox wiped my poor soy butter jars to death when I got home, lol!
