I've bought one using my employee discount, but I have not taken it out of the box yet.  Its with packed away kitchen stuff, and I will try it out once my kitchen is done.

Glad it was a hit!  I’m half tempted to get one myself.  My brother makes wonderful meals with his.  My other brother said he had a food saver he would give me bc he never uses it...it’s tempting.

Gift was a hit.

It was one of those cooking toys They kept looking at, but never actually bought. I haven’t asked if they’ve tried it yet.

My brother has one and LOVES it.  I will admit, we all enjoy it when he brings it and cooks for us.  Do you want me to find out what brand he has?

No, but thanks for the offer.  We bought the Instant Pot one.

I will give them button’s suggestion of using silicone bags.

I'm intrigued now.  Will have to do some investigating.

Thanks buttons.

We are having such a hard time coming up with gifts for our son’s and their partners. DH thought this would be a good idea for oldest son and wife. They both love cooking.

My ds has the Instant Pot one. He said he’s very happy with it and uses it fairly often, generally for fish, chicken, or eggs, and once for infusing gin. He recommends reusable silicone bags rather than the plastic ones. A friend of his has the Joule version, which is pricier and works with a phone app, but my ds thinks the IP one does a good job for less money. Two other things he mentioned—it’s relatively compact for storage, and if he’s running late, it holds the food’s temperature so he”s not tied to a set time.

Does anyone have a Souse Vide Immersion Circulator?

DH is looking at buying it for our son and wife. Instant Pot has one.
