Canadian locations have had a similar warning for a few years now.  It makes sense to me.

My McDonalds still had the open container on peanut butter cups. I really don’t understand how Skor bars are any different. On road trips sometimes that is all that is available. I guess back to traveling with a cooler.

McDonald’s now has a blanket CYA allergen notice on their drive up menu. It seems like this is the trend - warn that everything could be cross contaminated with everything.
