Title: Almond Challenge
Post by: PurpleCat on August 16, 2017, 03:22:36 PM
Tomorrow is the big day.  Almond challenge.

There is no component test for almond.  DD's numbers are not as low as the other foods we have challenged.  Dr. was hesitant but DD wants to know, she would like the freedom to add almond to her diet and to her skin/hair care options.

I have Barney butter and safe almonds and lots of anxiety!

Up to 2 teaspoons!!!!  One more 2 teaspoon dose and then they will give her Alomond Butter!  It's looking like a pass!!!

This is the first challenge where they brought in extra emergency equipment and the allergist brought in a big trash can and told DD if you need to throw up, aim here.  She called me out to look at testing numbers as they have consistently gone down but not as low as other foods we have challenged.  She suggested they might be false positives based on total ige and it's looking like that is the case!

DD likes the taste!

She did awesome!  Wanted to wait a bit to be sure, but hours later she is fine and eating her regular meals!  Yippee!  Another nut bites the dust!
