Title: Any safe teriyaki sauce?
Post by: joshsmom on June 21, 2019, 10:40:20 AM
Any safe brand of teriyaki sauce?

Ds is allergic to peanuts, a few tree nuts, sesame and sunflower seeds, soy protein (doesn’t react to soy flour or soy sauce)

If you have a safe soy sauce, you could make your own.

So many bottled teriyaki sauces I've seen have sesame seeds in them, I'd be leery of most brands.  Maybe Kikkoman would be worth calling?

Kikkoman  has a very extensive on line allergen chart.

Joshsmom, that’s interesting - my DS can also tolerate soy flour and soy sauce, but no other  forms of soy.  And strangely he was allergic to milk when he was little, and grew up on soy milk, soy cheese and tofu. Then somewhere along the line he lost the milk allergy and became allergic to soy.

Anyhoo, I usually make my own, but honestly can’t remember the last time I made it.  :hiding:
