This has been really hard while DS is out of state and having few options for eating. Texting him recalls day be day has been problematic, because I don't want to mess with his competition head mode, but I don't want him to eat something that could take him out!

You're right MaryM, I wish I could find out what other companies use their flour. I wonder if they could supply that information. There's another graincraft recall today.

Here's a link to GrainCraft's explanation:

Announcement
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Kellogg Company (NYSE: K) today announced that it is voluntarily recalling certain varieties and limited dates of production of Mother's®, Keebler®, Kellogg's® Special K® brownies, Murray® and Famous Amos® snacks and cookies because they may contain undeclared peanut residue. Kellogg initiated the recall after its supplier, Grain Craft, recalled wheat flour that has the potential to contain low levels of peanut residue.
While consumers with severe peanut allergies should avoid the recalled products, the FDA has stated that the amount of peanut exposure from the flour is low and not expected to cause adverse health effects in the vast majority of peanut allergic consumers. The company has received no reports of related illness to date and is taking this action out of an abundance of caution.

Right, PC.  So hard and frustrating.  I'd like to know what other companies use this flour but can't find that info.  I had a mom on DD's softball team ask what some safe snacks would be for her to serve at the season end pool party..it was hard to come up with stuff but I did.  I have some bags of pretzels from another company that we haven't opened bc I am waiting for more recalls.  I was at a friend's house on Saturday and she had Rold Gold bc she knows it a safe one...I had to pull up the info on my phone to make sure it wasn't one of the batches that was recalled.

Don't need this when summer is starting and we are buying and eating more away from home......UGH!  And those safe brands like Rold Gold that DD's friends, friends parents, grandparents, etc...know to be safe....now I have to check in depth.  UGH!!!

Read a couple articles about it.  Still no disclosed reason as to how the flour got contaminated.

Gallows humor - the first thing I thought of when I saw the expanded recall was the song, "It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas Cumin".  ~) :disappointed:
