Title: Number of Epi's
Post by: AllergyMum on February 16, 2012, 02:14:06 PM
I am interested in how many other people bring with them when traveling out of your own country.

My son always self-carries 2 epi's but when we go on holidays I always take extras along.

For traveling outside of Canada, I like to take 6 epi's (2 to carry, 2 back-up in case we need to use any, plus an extra 2 in case any get stolen while we are out at the beach)   I am worried that if I need to replace any epi's while out of country we may not be able to find any to buy or may not be able to buy them without a trip to a local doctors and that if we can buy them that they may not be stored properly.

BTW for local holidays, he wears 2 and we bring 2 extra along.

We usually bring 5 and mix up the lot numbers.

Last time I was out of the country, I took eight.  However, part of that was also an emergency contingency plan for asthma 'stuff hitting the fan'.

We bring 4 but we're driving and it's in the US. We have to pay full price so it's tough to keep more of them on hand. We paid $189 for a twin pack the last time.
