Title: Chewable benedryl
Post by: SilverLining on March 05, 2012, 06:28:07 AM
After all the antihistamine recalls, it's been impossible to find chewable benedryl.  But this week I found Life Brand antihistamine at Shoppers Drug Mart.   It's the same active ingredient as benedryl.  It's for children (6 and up I think) so my teen has to take a few, but he's still not good at swallowing pills, so this was a great find.

thanks for the update :)

I'm still waiting for children's cetirizine (Reactine syrup) to re-appear one day as it has been about 2 years now since it's been recalled.

Check out the Unisom products.

They are marketed as sleep aids, but at least one of them, in chewable form, is the same ingredient as Benadryl - and in more adult dosage.

I will buy them when they're on sale, because they cost a little more than the Benadryl, but they are handy to have around....

Shopper's usually has them, as does our local PharmaPlus/Rexall.
