Title: Cough drops! Help!
Post by: Princess Cheese on October 23, 2012, 02:57:51 PM
I have an evil cough and I need some kind of relief.  I use to take Luden's when I was a kid, but I haven't taken much since becoming an adult lol..  What do you recommend??

Have you called on them?  I thought there was a plain cherry kind too?

Ludens=candy, so probably any hard candy would do the same for you.

I don't think I've ever called about the Halls. I agree that most candy would probably be the same. I think Ludens and such have something extra, like pectin or something, that is supposed to help coat your throat. Are Jolly Ranchers safe? Or tootsie pops or dumdums.

DS uses Halls.  And sometimes a CVS offbrand.  Haven't called.

If you call, be sure to report here.

Goofy as this may sound I use Yummy Earth pops for the kids. There's nothing special to them but it does seem to offer some relief.

Just an FYI...

I called Ludens last fall/winter and was warned of a tree nut cross contamination issue. Maybe things have changed, but defintitely with double checking.

Ludens were my favorite when I was growing up and it was disappointing to me when I called and was told of the tree nut issue.

Please let me know if you double check.

Got this from Luden's today. Don't ya just love the inconsistency? (also I asked about peanut AND tree nut but they only answer for peanut. So typical)
