If im allergic to corn will i be allergic to corn syrup too?

I have been doing a LOT of research on this lately and there is no clear answer. While corn syrup is highly refined you may still have problems with it, if your allergy is more mild you might tollerate it fine. Personally, we think our new son we are adopting has a corn allergy and I will be working hard to eliminate all corn and all corn biproducts.
