LOL!  After looking at the blog about that dessert, it's a wonder they don't name it "chocolate DEATH"

Wow, but what a way to go!!

Let us know how it turns out!  I might make it this week for the teacher appreciation dinner (it's held during teacher conferences).

Wow!  Is that cake legal???  That would mean hours of exercise!!!!

OMG!!! Wow it's good!  Like, every bit as good as it looks.  The only problem was that everyone was eyeing it, and no one wanted to cut into it first.  So I cut a couple of pieces to get it started.  And everyone wanted the recipe.  I did cheat a little--I used a box of Betty Crocker to make the cake itself, but then followed the recipe for the rest.

I guess I am the only one.  It looks pretty gross to me.  I do like chocolate, but that looks so overwhelming with chocolate that it would make me feel sick.

Well, it's not like you would eat a huge slice.  So far at least 7 servings (probably more like 8-9) have been cut, and half the cake is left.  And I used an 8" pan.  I'd cut it even smaller, but it's a bit messy to cut (so many different textures so the knife goes more easily through some layers than others).  But a little taste of each component is really yummy.

I've made the cake and will frost it tomorrow for the teacher appreciation dinner.

It's definitely a cake you only need a sliver of...sad I won't even get to taste it.  We tested the cake batter and everyone here agreed it was good!

I made the cake, but never tasted it.  It was certainly a show stopper, but I guess I'll have to make it again some time so I can actually taste it.  The cake batter was good as was the homemade frosting.  I skipped the chocolate chips in the cake batter as well as drizzling with alcohol.  Once it was covered in chocolate chips, it was already over the top, but still I put chopped up Kit Kats and Twix on top and then drizzled the melted chocolate.

That looks amazing!  I love that blog and have made some things from it before.  I'm going to make that cake for my chocoholic DH for his birthday or maybe our anniversary!  Thanks for posting!
