My older dd says they are better than the real thing!

Nestle Crunch Bars Recipe
2 Twelve Oz bags of milk chocolate chips (I use Hershey's)
1 ½ cups Rice Krispies
1) Melt chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl set on medium for 2 minutes. Stir halfway through the heating time. Melt thoroughly, but be careful not to overheat.
2) Gently mix in the Rice Krispies into the chocolate and pour into greased 9x13 pan.
3) Slam pan on the counter to level the chocolate.
4) Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
5) Cut candy according to serving size you wish!

As long as the chocolate will melt it should! I was going to try that this week since my daughter loves dark chocolate!

How funny. I was JUST thinking about finding a way to make these the other day. thanks for the recipe!

DD and I made these today with Vermont Nut Free milk chocolate chips.  OMG they are so much better than a Nestle Crunch bar!!  Absolutely delicious!       Thanks joshsmom!

Instead of spreading it in a pan, I put liners in my mini-muffin pan, and spoon it in to those.  When hardened, the paper pulls right off, just like for commercial candies that come that way.   Easier, and if you use pretty liners, more attractive, too.

Did you have to reheat the chocolate partway through? I'm not sure I can spoon it into muffin pans quickly enough.

I melt it in a double boiler (OK--a makeshift double boiler--a bowl set in a small saucepan of water) and just leave it over the still-warm water as I work, so cooling has never been an issue for me.  BUt it really only takes a minute.

Oh good idea. I don't have a double boiler but I have a metal bowl that would probably fit over a pan. I really want to make these for Christmas.

That is my double-boiler--a metal bowl over a saucepan.

OMG, I tried this and dd and I both thought they were amazing.  Thank you so much for posting this.  Really easy too....I made them with about half the amounts that you posted, and used an 8 x 8 pan, then cut into individual candy bars.

Would this work with Enjoy Life chocolate chips?  (without milk)

Ginger, I've found Enjoy Life chips to be very microwave melting friendly. Even in a Wiltons disposable candy melt bag for piping into molds. Their great with shredded coconut to make haystacks. When I could eat coconut I loved it with a bit of coconut flavor to pump up the taste. I was thinking of making Cybele Pascal's cool mint patties too. I so love some mint patties.
