RAST after antihistamines

Prednisone, ratinidine, Benadryl taken Sunday night. How long to wait until getting RAST done? The usual 5 days?

We're told 3 days, but I don't know about the Prednisone.

The prednisone (steroid) is the kicker on this one-- steroids can mess up RAST values for a long time.

Antihistamines don't really have any impact on IgE, so that isn't a consideration (only matters for skin testing).

Call the doc, I think.   :yes:

Yes, I'm not thinking right today.  We are told to stay off for 3 days for the SPT, not the rast.
