My dentist told me to use Biotene rinse and/or toothpaste to relieve symptoms of dry mouth. I went to purchase the products today and discovered that both the toothpaste and the mouth rinse contain Lactoferrin 0.0064% w/w (bovine milk), Lactoperoxidase 0.0042% w/w (bovine milk) and Lysozyme 0.0064% w/w (egg white). It is gluten-free. I seem to tolerate the mouth rinse just fine but wanted to point out another instance of perhaps unexpected allergenic ingredients turning up in a product.
