Easter cookies
« on: March 26, 2013, 10:28:00 AM »
I found this recipe for 'Easter cookies' that looks like a hands-on way to tell the story of Holy Week.  Unfortunately, a cup of pecans is crucial to the recipe (kids are asked to break up the pecans to symbolize Jesus' body being broken before adding it to the mixture).  Any ideas for alternatives? Pumpkin seeds?

Thanks,
Irene

I don't know, but I think I would rather have those cookies for communion Sunday than bread!
Me: Sesame, shellfish, chamomile, sage
DS: Peanuts

would pretzels work? Or you could do the ones with biscuits, marshmallows, butter, sugar, and cinnamon?
