After our 1st day of school fiasco this year (504 in place, but teacher had never laid eyes on it), our guidance counselor actually suggested a 2nd 504 meeting the last week of school, including M's 1st grade teacher.
This may not seem like a big deal, but this is closely guarded info that is not given out until 2-3 days before school starts! My DH can't even break the secretaries with his relentless schmoozing
We were even given an affirmative head shake when asked if any of M's 3 best buds would be in the room....don't know who or how many, but M is already excited for next year.
