I'm reading Finding Me by Michelle Knight, the first of the three girls kidnapped in Cleveland and held for over ten years.

There is a chapter about her having an anaphylactic reaction while in captivity.
she said for many years he brought her food without her allergen! and he was aware of her allergy. Then one day....it was eat this or eat nothing
It was quite bizarre to come across that so unexpectedly.

Holy cow. Very interesting.

*Shudder * As if that case wasn't creepy enough.
